

You have worked with Microsoft cloud technologies for more than 15 years.
You are a Microsoft Azure Architect.
You have designed enterprise environments, built Landing Zones, deployed complex networks, implemented hybrid connectivity, secured identities, migrated workloads, managed storage, deployed Kubernetes, and perhaps collected more Microsoft certifications than you can remember.
You know Azure.
You know it very well.
And perhaps you are just about to say:
“I've been doing this for 15 years. I've pretty much seen it all.”
I would suggest that you pause for a moment.
Think again.
Before you finish that sentence, take a look at the list below.
How many of these Microsoft Azure services do you recognize immediately?
More importantly:
How many have you never heard of?
There is nothing embarrassing about finding some.
In fact, that is exactly the point.
Microsoft Azure has grown into such an enormous cloud platform that no individual architect, engineer, administrator, consultant, trainer, or certification holder can realistically work with every service it contains.
Some Azure services are encountered every day.
Others are highly specialized.
Some apply only to particular industries or architectures.
Some are relatively new.
And some may have existed for years without ever crossing your path because you have simply never had a business requirement for them.
Experience does not mean knowing everything. Experience means understanding just how much there is still to learn.
So, Have You Seen It All?
Probably not.
Neither have I.
And that's what makes working with technology interesting.
The Azure platform continues to expand, existing services continue to evolve, and new capabilities continue to appear.
Fifteen years of experience does not represent the end of learning. It gives you fifteen years of foundation for understanding the next thing you encounter.
Nobody knows it all, and nobody is greater than all of us.
The more you know, the better you understand how much you still don't know.
Learning is a continuous, lifelong process.
